how does ECG o2 simulator work
need to know how the ECG o2 simulator work and how is installed..... need to know before i purchase it... ECG o2 sims. were supose to be the best ones... so i dunno...
The ECG is the only sim that works with OBD2 Hondas. That's why it's the best for us OBD2 guys, because it's the only option that I know of
The way it works is, it uses engin speed (RPM), and throttle position as it’s inputs. You get these signals from the existing sensors in your car. Then it calculates what the secondary O2 sensor signal should be for a car with a good cat.

yes, you splice the wires going to the ECU. You can mount the unit anywere you have room, like under the passanger seat, you just have to run the wires is all.

well i had one well i still have it but it was screwing up my car. the CEL didnt come on but it caused the car to back fire and would mess up the rpm signal. so i ended up cutting it out on my way home one night. and i found this out.... if you just cut the signal wire from the secondary O2 sensor (you have to cut it to install the O2 sim) and plug in your secondary O2 sensor (in the pipe is fine if there is a bung for it, or just wrap it in aluminum foil and put it some where that the heater wont burn anything. mines zip tied on right by the heat shield) so that way the ecu knows that the heater is working for the sensor then your check engine light problems will be eliminated.
