I dunno how much better they are than JDM, but I have had no problems with my JG header. It's also carb legal and has the EO number stamped on the second piece. It's also a 2 piece design, so it has better ground clearance than the low-hanging JDM 4-1. I paid 480 for mine from nextcollection.com

i dont think its any better than the JDM 4-1, because the JDM 4-1 has a 2.5 outlet and this one only have like 2 inches outlet, and plus the JDM has bigger piping. But then thats is what i think, but those are nice headers tho.

Well, I am sure it is a good header, but I am not sure it is better than the JDM with out the collector being modified. The people who are saying it is better than the JDM ITR header is because they had the collector modified so that it would be 2.5 inches. Supposedly the mid-range is a heck of a lot better, and you can gain a little bit more up top versus the JDM. If you were looking into gettng this header, you might as well buy it from Import builders since they sell them with the collector modified.
As for the racing B-pipe, I would not recomend driving around the streets like that, because you will be pulled over as soon as you leave you driveway . It is mainly for race purposes only

The collector is the part that bolts up to the Cat.

i have a jg header w/ a modded collector by import builders, and it is awesome!! I get great power from 3k to 8k. I had dc 4-2-1, and i felt a nice gain over the dc. if you are getting one, also get a carsound cat. i was about to get a jdm 4-1 header, but that thing hangs way to low, plus that header makes more power top end. if your looking for midrange then get the jg.

When I mean the collector I mean the part that connects to the cat, I am not talking about the racing b-pipe, hope that is what you are asking
The web site is http://www.importbuilders.com/bolton.html but for some reason it is not working for me right now, but I have been there at that address, and it will give you all the info need!!!

The fact that it has the carb legal stamp to please officer friendly and its modded so you still get the 2 1/2 collector. It doesn't hang to low, has a nice finish. I think it’s the perfect street header.

IB quoted 600 for the modded JG header, seems a little steep to me....

I saw a dyno test from a Edelbock 2-piece 4-2-1 exhaust vs. a DC 4-1 header. The Edelbrock header made 9 hp vs. the DC 5 hp gain on a fairly stock GSR.

Does anyone have any dyno charts of either the JG header or IB modified JG header?? This is the only way to know whether it really makes the HP.

How do they go about modifying the collector? Just put a larger collector on the end or is there welding involved further down on the headers? Also, $600 for the whole thing is alot of cheeze, why not save a lil more and buy SPOON?

GSR motor

Stock Header:

JG IB Header (blue line):
Again...pay attention to the blue line....the red line is not the gsr motor before the jg header...that's in the dynochart above.

Hope this helps.

i would get them over the overhyped JDM 4-1 headers(if they were the same price) they both perform well. the JDM ITR one has slittly better top end, but the JG has WAY bette midrange and usefull power!
JG hands down!!!
but like some said earlyer if you let IB mod the JG headers for you they perform almost identical to toda headers!
