Thought it was the timing and tried to move the dist. around a bit, but no luck. When the vtec kicks in it starts sputtering almost two wher it sounds like constant backfiring??? It started after I replaced the old dist because of a bad bearing.

 

c'mon. I know you guys know somethin about this?

 

Which ecu are you using? and in what type of car did you swap it into?

 

92 cx not sure exactly what ecu, but it was working fone until I had to get the new dist.

 

Could be your o2 sensor! My friends car did this he replaced the sensor and it went away.
