replacing rear fender
is it possible to replace the rear 1/4 panel? i have some pretty bad rotting going on in my rear 1/4's right above the wheels where the bumper connects to the body and was thinkng it may be cheaper to replace panles than to try to fix the rust
I have the same problem, but on top of that I have some dents on the rear 1/4. How much (estimate) to weld in a new 1/4? I got a qoute from a "friend" of $2100 including parts and paint. I think thats crazy though. He said the rear 1/4 cost was 490.
well normally its same ato assume its going to be $300-400 per panel to pull out the dents and repaint it. of course it will probably cost a bit more to weld the new piece into your car so id say 400-500 for the rear 1/4 panels.
Right now im having almsot everything done on my car, trying to get it back to near stock and its costing me a fortune

what do the panels cost? the driver side is the only one that is fully perforated so the pass could be fixed
i honestly think this will be a car that i will keep for a ridiculous amount of time so i dont mind putting some $ into it

Well, it's kind of a pain to do. You have to drill out all the spot welds then cut the quarter. I think the quarter is around $500 from the dealer. Not sure if you can get a certifit quarter for it. If you can, then it would be around $200, but that's if they make one for your car.You can try a bone yard.

I got my driver's side rear 1/4 panel replaced over a year ago. They had to do the cut and weld trick right above the rear window. I can look at the estimate if I can dig up an old copy.
