I have a '95 Del Sol DOHC
this summer a new ACT clutch, and AEM cam gears will be installed cause i need a new timing belt and so i thought i might as well...

My ECU fried... shop said it was a hardware problem, and also said it needed to be replaced.

OEM is $1800

I was thinking of the AEM EMS, which is programmable with a laptop (got one), but ::cobes:: said go for mugen <http://www.kingmotorsports.com/produ...icle=Civic>. Mugen is not programmable and I think will lead to further problems unless I reinforce the valve springs, and change a lot more than just my cam gears, especially because of the increase in redline limit.

I'm looking for options...repair possibilites or replacements.

 

I'd get a p28 and some Hondata, one fairly inexpensive route

stock P30 ECU or Spoon programmed P30, either way very cheap and more then enough for your setup.

cheaper route is to go with a P28/P91 or JDM P08 thats chipped. (check my sig) 1/10 of the cost of replecment and more power then you need. (custom vtec/rev limit and so on).
