Some New Bing Bling
SRR Tie Rods
Well, they may seem useless to many people. I needed new tie rods because my old boots were all broken up and grease was leaking out. They are a bit lighter that than the stock rods. The install was very easy. I got the car aligned afterwards and its seems to feel a little lighter to turn the wheel, but not much.
I also have a question about adjusting the steering rack. I read the helms on how to do it, but don’t know what kind of wrench to use for the big nut. I have nothing that will fit in the small area. What has everyone else used to adjust the rack?
This post may seem useless. I have nothing to do while it is snowing right now in NJ.
Edit: fixed a pic

I haven't adjusted steering yet...I believe George has.

hey so these puppies replace the rods that curve and grab onto to the steering nut on the knuckle ? i hate those things since they are rusty looking ..replacing them with these would sure look nice..
so instead of using a ball joint, these just attach with a bolt? That'd be awesome when it comes time to take them apart like for swapping axles. Please post pics when you're done.

You might wanna pick up a couple extra tie rod ends from Summit Racing or wherever you can find them...just in case you frag one on the track, it'll be an easy and convenient fix.
I'm not sure what the thread pitch and bolt length are tho.
I've had mine on for the past 5 months (garaged 2 months). Supposed to not last long from what I've heard. We'll see how they hold up once the auto-x season starts.
