Wierd noise when brakes get hot
Heres the situation. When I just start driving my car everything is fine. No matter how long I drive as
long as I don't brake alot. When I brake alot for some reson I get a grazing noise when I brake.
Sounds like the rotor is warped but doesn't vibrate the sterring wheel. I have new poweslots brakes
and AEM pads and axles and am lost what this could be (they are broken in). It feels like you could
feel the slots againist the pads. If i brake hard then it isn't as bad but if I brake liglthly it is annoying.
Just when I brake often this happens and continues to happen until the brakes cool down a bit. I
could drive on the highway for one hour straight and be fine or local for 5 minutes and have this
problem any ideas.??

I have a similiar problem. Also have Powerslot rotors.
Originally, when I had them installed.. I put EBC GREEN STUFF kevlar pads in the front and AXXIS METALMASTER in the back. My brakes RULED. Felt like I could stop on a dime.
However, the EBC's ate up my front rotors. Then I started to noticed my steering wheel vibrate when I needed to slow down fast (pressing hard on pedal) at high speeds. Thinking the rotors were warped I had my brakes done at a local speed shop. They sent the front ones down to John Collins to get turned...
Had them re-installed with stock honda pads this time in the front. Left the back alone altogether, they were fine.
Now, even after the break job I get a grinding noise when I brake. The brakes seem to work fine... but always hear the grinding noise (in the front).
Still don't know why... bad calipers ?? who knows.
Some direction would be nice.
