$up man ... well i really dont know what u r talking abt.. but i have a 97 gsr and have i/h/e and chip and short shifter... thats abt it for now but will be going turbo this summer... well all i can say is that i used to get abt 200 miles per tank city driving thats when my car was stock wid a ebay CAI thats all..
but since the time i got the exhaust my mileage was more than 275 miles per tank CITY driving.. and when i got my headers its abt 250 miles per full tank thats all CITY driving...
so all i can say is that GET A GOOD EXHAUSt system as acutally the exhaust is supposed to increase ur mileage.. so get a good exhaust .. u can get better mileage... i have a OBX B3 on my car.. its perfect and sounds decent.. well i still dont know what ur quetin was elaborate a bit and i might be able to give u some info... l8r

what i am trying to figure out is, what and how much difference do mods make on a honda engine's miles to the gallon.
Every setup is different so there's not really a way to quantify effects on fuel economy per mod if that's what your looking for. Things really start to change when you start making fuel system mods...

its not as much the mods as the way u drive...more mods = more redlines to test them out = less gas mileage...i think
im bored so...
1998 gsr
82,000 miles.
oil change every 2,500 miles. valves adjusted at 70,000 but going to do again when i change water pump/timing belt.
k&n oem replacement filter
ngk copper plugs
stock everything else
310-330 miles way before gas light turns on. i dont want to do the math to get mpg.

What is the basic way we make HP? Air + fuel = power
The bigger mods (beyond boltons) like cams, turbo, sc, n2o.. what do they do when you break it down? Add more air, with more air you add more fuel, which makes more power.
The use of more fuel causes a reduction in gas milage of cource.
Too many variables but basically more power/tuned power = better mileage if you don't get on the gas.
1) Fill up your car with fuel. Try to make it late at night. Reset the trip odo.
2) Drive your car until its near empty.
3) Fill up your car with fuel. Try to make it late at night (again).
4) Divide the number on your trip odo by the amount of fuel you put into your car. The result is your miles per gallon.

Well then I just got to 350 on my odometer when the gas light popped on.
I went and filled up with my normal 94 octane and filled up with 11.2. So I got 350miles on 11.2 gallons of gasoline, which equates to 31.25mpg, which is really good.
I have a 99GSR with AEM CAI, Greddy header, Greddy evo exhaust, AEM cam gears, UR SS pulley set, NGK wires, Denso Iridium sparkies.
My last dyno was 165 whp, and 126ft/lbs.
There are alot of things that can alter your gas mileage though, I do about 75%freeway driving and beat on it at least once a day for good measure.
