Default short throw people, hows your snychros and tranny feel?

Ok I been running the classic b&m relocated linkage adapter for the shifter.

Yes it is shorter than stock but I am curious about the angle or design now because my tranny seems to have gotten a bit finiky lately.

Seems like 1st is almost has a kind of lock out on it some times and when it does go in to 1st on those occurances it only goes about half way in gear, which of course it gets kicked out when you engage clutch.

Also on hard 1st-2nd shifts I am getting a light snychro grind, sounds like a ratchet.

Anyways think this could be from prolonged wear and tear by the new linkage and shift geometry?

Any suggestions or input welcome... I have no proof it has anything to do with the adapter but I am curious as it sounds like a feasable situation.

personally i have heard those adapters are junk because of the problems you stated above, i would go back to stock. short shifter really isnt neccesary if you think about it, the stock shifter is fine, i mean honstly how much faster are you shifting compared to stock maybe .5 sec quicker if that? granted it is nice, i think they are mainly just for looks. just my opinion.

maybe you should try replacing the shifter bushing and also changin the tranny fluid

I have the Dc sports SS adapter for over 3 yrs. I've beaten the **** out of it and to this day, I don't have any problems with the adapter of my tranny.

yeah, but if you're autoxing and placing second to someone by .01 of a second, and couple half seconds saved during 4 shifts is a mile stone

i believe the synchro problems and short shifters are only for ones that replace the whole shifter like in civic and tegs and does not apply to adapter type shifters.

imo, learn to shift faster and get a 92-96 lude shifter.
