b18c (gsr) bare block the samne as the b18c5 (R) block???
i am wondering this. i am thinking it should be the excat same thing. i just want to confirm this.
i am thinking about building up a short block for a future project.
also the difference between the type r crank and the gsr crank is that the type r crank is counterwaited?

so if i got a b18c bare short block with the gsr crank it will be all good?
cause heres what i am thinking about
b18c1/c5 block with crank and main caps
Block sleeved/decked/o-ringed by gem
line bored to 84mm if i get 9.2:1/9.0:1
overbored head gasget from gme if 84mm
blocked honed
je 9.0:1 (84mm) pistons/rings/pins or endyne 9.2:1 pistons (84mm)
eagle h-beam rods
arp head bolts and studs
and then taking what ever else i need off my stock block to complete the built short block when i mate it to the head.
mate that with my itr head. put some 550cc or 750cc injectors in there. with the 255lb/hr walbro fule pump and a high flow fuel rail.
slap the rev hard 2c turbo kit on it. greedy e-manage with all the extra stuff and profec 0e-1 boost controller. then tune tune tune till i hit 330-350 whp
ohh and a clutch to.
