i curbed my car...what should i do???
well i curbed my car and in the rear there is a bar that is connected to the frame and the rear trailing arms are connected to it...it runs between the two rear wheels...well i hope i explained it well enough because i dont know what its called...but i bent it a little...someone told me that it could be removed and a new one could be welded back on....but they said they wouldnt remove the whole piece just the part thats bent...has this ever happened to anyone and does anyone have any suggestions to what i should do??
usually when you curb the car, many things get messed up - not just one thing... take it to a mechanic and get an inspection... how fast did u hit it at?
Thanks for the valuable input slidefreak. Curbage sucks plain and simple. I suggest replacing EVERY susp. piece on the wheel that was curbed. Then you know nothing is bent. Junkyards are your friend.
It sounds like the Sway bar. Is it behind the rear suspension. The bracket attaches directly to the underbody of the car. The sway bar is number three in the attached url.

Shoot yourself...

Besides from the problem of fixing your rex, it'll probably never like taking a curb at any speed over 5mph.
