Default How to install 6 1/2 speakers in 2000 accord

What's up everyone? Can someone help me out with how to remove the speaker grills and/or door panels so I could install new 6 1/2's? Also, if there are any particular speakers you think are really good, let me know please. Thanks for the help, sorry the search engine was not working for some reason.

Ok not sure if this will help ya, dont have any pics. Just try not to break anything. If u use too much force u may break some clips. Ur gonna have to remove the door panels.

To remove front door panels. Complete the following steps.

Step 1.
Towards the front of the door look for the pin that is covered in plastic (under the side mirror). Remove the pin.

Step 2.
Pull from the top the triangular panel that covers the side mirrors. Lift it an upward motion to release it and pull it out.

Step 3.
Remove the screw cover in the door handle area (the little pocket by the armrest). Remove the screw. Try not to loose them.

Step 4.
Lift the plastic pocket out of the door. Dosconnect the connector, and put the piece aside. Their are clips holding it in so use a little force.

Step 5
Remove the screw cover and screw holding the door handle release surround.
Push the plastic piece towards the front of the car to release the clips. Then release the connector and try and slide it out around the door handle. if you cant do this then remove the door handle by releasing the plastic clip on the door handle.

Step 6
Now its time to remove the door panel, start at the bottom and carefully unclip the panel working your way up, you may want to use something wide and flat and thin to help pry it off without damaging the door. Now lift the door panel in an upward motion over the door lock, it should come out of the door jam nicely.

Step 7
Unscrew the speakers and disconnect the thing, throw it out and put ur new speaers in and reassemble the door the same way it came off.

For the rear speakers

Step 1
Remove the two screws holding each speaker grill down from inside the trunk.
(not the speaker, the grill the screws are under the metal rod going accross the trunk)

Step 2
Ok lift up the back edge of the speaker grill and push it to teh back of the car releasing clips, then pull it off.

Step 3
Now from inside the car remove the screws holding the speakers down.

step 4
No disconnect from connectors and swap over to ur new ones.

Sorry no pics hope you dont fack it up.

if you think the front speakers are hard, wait til you get to the back ones the back ones are a biatch to remove. I have the same car as you and i've switched out muh speakers alot and the back ones are the worse. but the front ones are no problem. so dont stress about the front ones worry about the back ones

I just finished installing the back ones like an hour ago. They were fine to take to out, but putting the covers back was a pain in the a$$. The front ones, lol, is looking menancing having to take off the entire door panel and make sure it goes back in place nicely.

Man, the stock speakers were TRASH, omg. Like grocery bag paper, they did not sound that bad, but after the infinity 3 way 6 x 9's, they sounded like computer speakers. I cannot beleive the cheap speakers they stick in cars, especially ones that cost $25,000! I'm surprised the stock stereo pushes the 6 x 9's really good, almost sounds like mini subs back there.
