I was wondering who would win between a Del Sol with a B18C1 topped off with a drag 3 turbo, or a non-turbo 94+ Supra, because a friend of mine is trying to get the Supra, and im thinking what ill have to do to take him, when I get my Del Sol ?

 

prob the del sol....but it depends on the driver...non tt supras are fat pigs

 

B18 del sol will kick *** all the way. Supra is too heavy and while it has plenty of torque, will struggle on the quarter mile. I've seen non-turbo supras running as bad as 17.3 on the quarter with a 60shot of NOS to help out, whereas I've seen turbo'd b16 CRXs running 12s. As previously said, it all counts on the driver.

 

My friend getting the Supra is probably getting an auto, because he doesnt know how to drive a stick, will this make a difference as well?? Are the odds in favor of me or him ?

Odds are in favour of you if he is getting automatic, because auto cars are lazy, and if you know how to shift when racing, and if you get the 1.8 Turbocharged VTEC engine done, then you'll smoke him right off the line, and in the long run.

ahh....but not true. well, at least not for the tt. supra automatics are so well engineered that they actually run a tad bit quicker than the manuals when you get in the higher hp ranges. toyota really knew what they were doing with those and they shift and transfer power more efficiently than a person could do manually.

but on the non turbo supras, that wouldn't make a huge difference. del slow would take it
