How can i tell if the my tranny is a gsr or ls other than by looking at the sticker bar code? i jus swapped out my motor n noticed that the tranny code was a gsr(y80) but the motor is ls... someone told me that if i'm going 80 n the rpm is at 4k then it's a gsr but if it's at 3.5k then its a ls, is dis correct or wrong. can someone shed some light on dis it would help me out a lot... any 1 w/ any info feel free

 

well all integra tranny code s80. All I can say is test drive it and tell us what rpm you cruise at one freeway in 5th gear and 80 mph

 

GSR's also have Y80's

yes 80 MPH in 5th gear with the GSR tranny=4K rpm.
that's what my GSR tranny did anyways.

and i believe my GF's LS tranny does about 3,500 rpm instead of 4K at 80 MPH.
