Need help with an S80 tranny code...?

Default Need help with an S80 tranny code...?

I am confused what transmision i have.
Yes i looked in the stikies and got even more confused.
Ok the tranny in my car is S80-3XX7X3X.....So what i read from .The S80 came from an JDM 98-01 ITR or the US 94+ LS/GS/
Spec.Ed.
What code is supose to be for a 99 gsr tranny...?
Also wen i drive 80mph in 5th gear it revs ar 3.5k rpm...so im tinking i have a 5th LS gear...?

S80/Y80 are only transmission case codes so that won't tell you anything. Does the tranny have a VIN on it? A GS-R transmission should put you at 4k at 80 unless it has an LS 5th like you said, so I don't really know of any other way to tell if that is the case.

The vin number that is on the green tag or on the white tag by the mount..?

The VIN number on the green tag. If it is JH4DC2 then it is a GS-R tranny, if it is JH4DC4 then it is an LS.

Ok
So can some one send me a chart list like what would an LS rev at in 4th while going 40.... I loked it up on google butt the links were broken.

ok i compared it to my neighboors gsr tranny and mines an ls 5th
the teg is mesed up to heckl u cant read some of the leters at all thats why i am asking
