i hate code 14
ok...so i hate code 14 and ive never been able to get rid of it, i have allready changed my iacv and i still have the dam code and my car was a dual port and now im runing a b16. please help me i need to get my car back out on the road.
check to be sure you connected the correct plug into the iacv.
i just had this problem with a dpfi to mpfi swap last weekend.
when it was all said and done, i had used the wrong plug to go to the iacv.... once i switched it with one that needed to be extended, my CEL went away and now the car is running fine!
good luck!

Your problem is that one of your coolant sensors has gone bad or you AICV is just hooked up improperly.. I dont know if you have 2 of them like the lude engine but change that and I bet your CEL 14 will go away..
A quick test would be to unplug the radiator fan when you are checkig for codes and see if you get a CEL 6..

lol,i dont even have a fan in my car but i just swtched those 2 wires, and my car went up to 6 and then it stoped at 4 and 1/2 and now it wont rev past 3 grand. also i dont have my coolent or oil sensors hooked up, and still running code 14
Well there is your problem.. All the sensors work together including having a fan connected. Get all you stuff together properly then you should have less problems..

Code 14 is usually an idle issue. Hondas, especially DOHC VTEC motors, must have proper idle speed or the IACV goes crazy. Make sure your idle is set at 750 +/- 50 rpms.
ok cool, but now i have a new issue code 4. i replaced the plug cause the old one was messed up, but now sometimes i have the code and sometimes i dont. should i just relace the sensor?
