Yup, recently bought my first ITR. I am so proud !
However, it is unfortunate that the only ITR I could afford had been rear-ended. But that is okay, cause Im gonna put the engine in my CRX.
My question for all of the ITR owners is: why doesn't the engine start?

I know that I am not getting power to the distributor, but I am getting power to the ignition switch. The engine turns over, but obviously with no spark, the engine doesn't start. The aftermarket alarm has been removed. Fuses have been checked. So more directly, does the ITR have any type of immobilizer that would prevent the car from starting. When I got the car the battery had been removed, and the car had not been started since the accident.
some ideas-ignitor?, ignition starter? (are any of these things possible?)

previuos owner could have a feul cut-off somewhere under the dash that u caant see

 

in most cars(dunno about the r) there is a fuel pump shut off switch in the trunk in case of a accident. check and see if it clicked off(most likely in the trunk)

 

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the engine is getting fuel.

I guess that is a good sign

 

My R has an Imobilizer but I'm not sure if it cuts spark or fuel?

 

What year ITR?

 

The Type-R is a 1998

 

98 dont have Imobilizer
