Default OBD2 to OBD1 Conversion - Secondary O2

trying to figure out how much i will gain from switching over to the dark side... i have a 2000 GSR right now which i feel is really limited by the emissions standards of OBD2.

as of right now, i am running a carsound cat with secondary O2 bung in it. i am throwing a CEL 67 - catalyst below threshold... i think its because the carsound isnt filtering out as much as it should, so thats why i have the code. i know that OBD1 cars only have one o2 sensor at the header. my question is:

if i switch from obd2 to obd1 with a chipped p28, will i still throw a CEL 67? or will it just not recognize my secondary O2 and therefore i will be code free?

thanks in advance....

OBD1 won't recognize the secondary o2.
So, you could unplug the secondary o2 and plug the bung on the cat. Or, just leave it and the ecu won't even acknowlege it.

NICE. thats what i like to hear. so it wont throw a code right?

has anyone converted to OBD1 and also run a VAFC on it? how complicated is the wiring situation when you also have the conversion harness?

Andrew-
No code.

Not sure about the VAFC and OBD2-1 harness. Should work fine, you just have to know which wire is which...
If the search was up, I'd help out. But...
