Default OBD1 & O2 sensor

from what i heard, OBD1 only need one O2 sensor? so if i'm running a straight pipe, it won't throw a check engine light? any other advantages to go from OBD2 to OBD1?

that is correct. obd1 = 1 o2 sensor. u can run a straight pipe with out getting a CEL.

umm..
obd1 ecu is tunable
obd2 ecu is not.

obd1 has less sensors to worry about
obd2 has more. more of a headache.

You just need a jumper harness with an OBD1 ecu. All OBD2 O2 sensors are the same.

you said all OBD2 sensors are the same. so, i'm guessing all obd2 and obd1 sensors are all the same? 4 wire?

I think what poison meant was that all OBD1 & OBD2a/b 02 sensors are the same, which is totallly true.

When you use a jumper harness to convert OBD2a/b to OBD1, you don't need to worry about any wiring at all. It's all done within the jumper harness. Thats what makes a jumper harness soo coool -- plug n' play!
