Clutch noise,,,help!
I have a new ACT clutch in my del sol, the throw out bearing was replaced and everything,,,Now when I let off of the clutch pedal and have it in no gear, it makes a wierd noise i dont know how to describe it but when i put the pedal back in, the noise slowly goes away,,then let off same loud noise,,,Could it be the flywheel??? It also did this before i replaced the stock clutch, but it wasn't as loud,,,what could it be??
its hard to explain, its almost like something is rubbing or whinning...not squeeling or anything,,,sorry kind of hard to explain, I will prolly just ask a few honda ppl in my area.
From the research I have done, It seems like your Tranny's Input shaft bearing went out. I have this same problem.
At idle with no clutch...Loud metallic sound. Kinda like a large metal ball bearing rolling accross a metal floor.
while driving...it gets louder at some points in the RPM's, but it doesn't always get louder while driving.
with the clutch engaged...The sound goes away.
Looks like it's time for a rebuild...
