Default Victor X manifold VS skunk2 or ITR manifold

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to running the Victor X manifold over the Skunk2 or ITR manifold? Archive search is disabled, and there is not a lot of info in recent topics

This has been debated frequently. I am currently running the victor X manifold and I hope to test this very soon. I doubt there will be much if any improvement in power with the victor X manifold. If anything it will be a couple horsepower on the top end. The victor X seems to be best suited for F/I applications.

im going with the skunk2 mani.

heres a dyno (not mine)

makes nice gains in midrange, top end power about the same, but i am not going to be driving to 8k that much anyway, just want to make good midrange too.

from what i hear, victor x just makes power up top, so you wont feel it unless you drive hard all the time.

isnt the skunk2 just a copy of the itr manifold? if you have the itr manifold, why not just get it ported a little bit?

Don't quote me, but the I believe the ITR manifold has longer/ narrower runners thank the Skunk2, and the victorX has shorter/wider runners than the skunk2. The longer the runner, the more the air velocity but less volume. Hence, more mid range.

Victor X = good for forced induction.
Skunk2,ITR = good for all motor.
The above posted dyno is obviously a forced induction engine.
