max boost on d16z6

Whats the safest amount of boost the stock d16z6 can handle?

prolly 8-10psi though some have done 15psi and ran fine.. just all in the tuning.. at 15psi it didnt last very long but 8psi should be good.

depends on the turbo size, and the type of fuel management.

if everything is ideal prolly 10psi or so safely.

rods are good to 220hp

swap in ls rods and pistons and you can run 18 psi, my friend did it. w/ just FMU and check valves so if you run a good management, can run almost 20 psi, just fine, make over 2fity at the wheels

on stock setups of internals...
some engines might survive more than that. but over 12psi will require a good engine management

who was it that was running 20 some psi on a stock z6?

i know he ran like an 11.8, then it blew up

so Hondata will do the trick with proper tuning?

im probably going to do a junkyard (custom) turbo
