this is for a friend

a b17a gsr motor and want to get some internal work done.
plans on rods pistons, head studs, bolts and a port and polish.

What compressions should he go with? With what I stated above how high can he boost?

he will be running a drag gen 3 kit with a T3/T4, w/AEM EMS

My friend want to go 9:1 I think thats a little low

If you think 9:1:1 is low then I guess 8:5:1 is out,Anyways I think that 9:5:1 is fine IF and i say IF it is tuned and your runing a standalone. If your going to be using some hack or some piggy backs I would choose the 9:1:1

 

9.1:1 is good should i tell him to do that

 

9.5:1 is fine. you don't have to have it tuned, but it is RECOMMENDED that you do.

 

I have 9:1, but i always thought 9:5:1 were perfect.
