need to know what you guys think is wrong??
Alright i went around a turn to fast the other day and in the process the *** of the car swung around and the wheel hit the sidewalk, and then on the same side, the frontwheel hit the sidewalk as well also taking some postive camber. No body damage. The rear has positive camber now, i know what the problem is there. Now in the front end is a different story. My steering wheel used to be straight when i drove, now it is angled toward the left. Which to me suggests a bent steering component. My teacher suggested it could be my steering knuckle. I have gotten underneath the car and checked the front and from the eyes point of view everything looks fine. The upper control arm however is sticking out a little far even on stock springs. Could the crossmember be bent? Anybody know, or have an idea. Really need to get this fixed, really annoying and have to have a dependable car. Thanks for your help.
Thanks,
Matt

change the knucle first that SHOULD be bent for sure
if you bend the knuckle then the steering wheel will be off most of the time
I'm not sure about the upper arm sticking out more though...haven't seen that one before
its hard to say about the cross member sometimes they bend sometime not.
If you put it on an alignment rack they can help you see whats bent

When someone t boned my ride i fixed everything that looked brocken, and still had camber trouble. I then realized that my strut was bent, when I replaced it problem fixed. One way to see if it is bent besides the naked eye, is to compress the shock with your handsonce it is removed, if the shaft binds against the housing its bent.
