cleaning BOV
I noticed a topic about 2 weeks ago that showed how to clean and service and/or replace the spring in your wastegate... I was wondering if it's the same process for a BOV.
I recently purchased a used greddy type S at an offer i couldn't refuse, but it has a little bit of gunk on the outside of the it (absolutly clean on the internal piston/valve and such). Just wondering how i'd go about cleaning it. I'd like to take out all the parts and soak them in a nice degreaser, and clean it. Can i use a degreaser on this or will it damage something inside?
How would i go about painting the purple top. Just a nice sanding with 400 grit then paint away or what?
thanks,
Ryan
