Default Which mods are major enough to force you to retune the hondata?

right now i have everything in but the cm stage 4 clutch and the intank fuel pump..

if i tune my car right now, then install the clutch and fuel pump later, would i have to retune??

also, i also plan to make a new downpipe because i need to add a flex pipe and route my wastegate back to the exhaust 18 inches down.. same diameter 2.5in .. you think that would be a major affect to retune again?

thanks!

i think id wait for the fuel pump before tuning. clutch shouldnt be a problem. as for the closed loop set up, if its 18inches after the turbo, i doubt there would be a highly significant affect. but in tank fuel pump is recommended from hondata i believe.

Fuel pump will cause you to run richer after tuning. Downpipe will cause you to run a bit leaner after tuning. Clutch has no effect.

Clutch does have effect if it is slipping. The motor will see less load at the same RPM and this will dramatically effect your ignition setups

Your assuming its slipping or will slip. Your also assuming that he is running a stock clutch. He specified neither information.

yes it is a stock clutch.. and it's not slipping at all..

i guess i have to install the fuel pump and redo my dp before i tune for the first time...

You can install the fuel pump prior, just make sure that you are running the same fuel pressures as when you tuned the hondata.

Assuming he has a adjustable fpr and gauge to check the fuel pressure, and then turns the fuel pressure down. In most cases your fuel pressure is upped a little bit by the fuel pumps, so you'll run slightly richer.
