If you use a spare tire (doughnut) on one of the fronts, how long would it take before it caused damage to the LSD? Is it a major problem if you leave it on the front for a few days, driving only a few miles at a time? I've had my spare on for 2 days, and it's going to be at least 3 or 4 more days till my new set comes in. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't causing serious damage to the LSD....

i remember reading that with the wheels off the ground, if you spin the front, they should rotate opposite each other...is this true??

Can anyone give a technical explaination of why running the spare on the front would hurt an LSD?

 

wheels rotating at different speeds. On an open diff this isnt a problem as thats its design.

so what if the other wheel does not turn?? im asking because i did this last night. when i rotate one wheel the opposite wheel is stationary. can someone shed some light on this...

does this mean that my lsd is toast??
