Default LSD question

If you don't have LSD your passanger side wheel should leave tire marks when you burn out right? well I thought with LSD both tires should leave tire marks. But my car only leaves tire marks on the drivers side? Is there something weird going on?

With LSD both tire will spin in a straight line, but with out and you try to do a burn out most of the time one tire will just keep spining and one will stop.

phnatom grips unless they r green spring normally dont work just dumping the clutch. u have to **** the wheel to one side

u can kinda see by pulling out one of ur axels. but u should pull both out to check. if u can see right through its a true lsd. if u see a shaft in the center its an opend diff. and if its a phantom u cant really see threw

lol, no it doesnt matter if its some crazy twin plate or a slipping stock clutch both tires should spin

however if the diff is beat up the tiny clutches inside maybe too worn too get both axels transfering torque

both tires will spin even on a oem clutch type lsd that is near the end of its life span

he is a lying sack of **** unless he was really able to demolish the clutches completely in the lsd

The tire that will spin will be the one with less weight sitting on it, or the one with less traction. And as everybody else said, with an LSD, they should both spin.

are you sure you have an lsd? put your car up on jack stands and spin one wheel with your hands, if the one on the other side spins the same direction you have an lsd. if it spins the opposite direction you dont. and i belive it has to be in gear.
someone correct me if i got it wrong

Close. With the car in gear, if you can spin one wheel and the other one spins the opposite way, no LSD. If you do have an LSD, you should not be able to spin either wheel, because then, you will be trying to spin the engine as well. Also with an LSD, with the car in neutral, both wheels should spin the same way.
