Fuel Management for turbo on GSR 95
I looked around on the forum and couldn't find exactly what I needed. I bought a max rev kit and I need some sort of fuel management. I was wondering if a 12:1 FMU would cut it for .45 bar or 6.5 psi? ITs around 150 for a new one, or I could get the e-Manage kit with the tuner kit and 440cc injectors for 750. Which one do you recommoned? I wanted to go with the ECU buts that a lot for just 6.5 psi. I would appreciate any help.
The fmu and blue box would work, but i would really opt for hondata and bigger injectors for full tunability. PLUS you already have an obd1 integra which saves you from buying a new ecu and a harness.
dont listen to b18flip, he's a ricer, JK,
yes
OBD1=good
fmu=ok, depending on how you set it up, but stand alone will do your timing also, (hondata) personally i think hondata is a great thing, the next best thing to stand alone for you guys, wish we had it

HOndata is incredibly expensive if you go for the option to tune it yourself. I HAVE TO HAVE this option, becuase I live in a place where the nearest place to tune is 4 hours away. It runs around 900 for those options. Greddy is cheap at 450 and is ALMOST as tunable as greddy. And personally i think that Greddy is worth the extra 300 over FMU for tunability.
Also, do I have to solder anything onto my ECU for HOndata? That was another reason why I didn't want HOndata, cuz of soldering.....

How hard is it to install e-Manage, does it require soldering? I heard you just tap into your ecu wires and thats it.
Also will it support 440cc (emanage)?

dont mean to steal his thread but im having the same problem. im running 12:1 fmu, inline fuel pump, and missing link at 6.5 psi. sometimes in the morning when the car is cold and just finally gets the thermostat in the middle the car really wants to pull hard, but then after driving awhile, it feels like its lagging or wants to hesitate due to the fmu maybe? what would be a better setup? can i ditch the fmu and get a vafc instead for fuel management?
Damn, I;m with you on that. I'm going to get some 440cc injectors and get V-AFC and do the hack. Greddy support sucks and I have gotten 3 answers from them as far as injector size. 1st time: support 150% over stock. 2nd time: Will support up 1.5x stock injectors. 3rd time: 200% of stock injectors.
Can't seem to get straight answer. I dont think that it can support much over stock injectors though, because it can be tuned for + or - 20% as opposed to V-AFC which can tune + or - 50 %. Also its cheaper at 290 shipped, and easier to install. I have heard V-AFC works well too. If I were you, I'd go that route. I have ressearched this for a while now.....

FMU+inline pump lasted me a year. Now I have a cracked sleeve.
Look at it this way.
a little extra time to save and invest in hondata *vs* damaging your motor and having problems like me
