Default Got a little problem-Need your help...

Okay I got coilovers for my hatch. I tried to install them today but the rear bottom bolt that holds the shock will not come off. This is for the rear shocks. What should i do??? any suggestion would be appreciated??

First try to lube that bitch up. Those bolts are known for breaking. What tools did you try so far? The last time I did one on my buddies car, I used an impact gun and kept forwarding and reversing the bolt while bangin on the LCA with a hammer. When the bolt came out it was actually twisted so I got lucky. If you don't have access to a gun that I guess try a breaker bar, but just be as careful as possible in not trying to break the bolt.

I broke mine but it didnt cost much to replace.. WD40 is ur friend and so is patience.

huge breaker bar, and slowly put more and more pressure on it, the quick pressure can break that bitch off, good luck! back ones always gave me trouble too, had my front low and the back stock for about a week till i could get that bolt loose

i broke the bolt too. how do you get it out once the head is broke off?

broke it too, ended up breaking the whole LCA when had everything finished. took it out for a test and it broked.. sucked cost $600 to replace it...

if you use the breaker bar technique, don't JUMP on it. apply steady force to it, it should come off, DURA LUBE and WD-40 and patience.

wd-40 works great, but if you can find a product called Liquid Wrench I like it better. Hard to find this stuff tho.
