y1 vs. j1???

how much better is the y1 tranny versus the j1? y1 has lsd correct? what are the differences/pros & cons also is the y1 THE best? also what about the ys1? im looking to buy a new tranny this friday

The LSD was optional, not all of the trannies have them.

how do you tell which one has it? is "LSD" stamped on them?

Lsd is usually stamped, but not always, and sometimes it is worn off. Look through the axle housing, and you should be able to see straight through. If you see a shaft going through, its not lsd. Ryan
