I know some peeps wonder if they should get on of Kenji`s P28 ECU`s.
Well,
I am running one the last 5 days in my car and I am not a friend of butt dyno. All I could say was that the engine runs more smooth (rich).
But now I decided to test it out.
I found my own way to check top end power without dynoing (I`m not a friend of dynos at all because conditions are absolutely different when the car is moving... air drag, temperature of air which is sucked in etc..)
Today I compared the stock ECU with Kenji ECU by running absolute topspeed in 5th and watched, how hard or easy the engine revs above 8k+rpm when still at WOT.
Stock ECU: Indicated rpm/speed 8600/248
Kenji ECU: Indicated rpm/speed 9500/265
With stock ECU the motor feels and sound like it has to pull big weight. Very rough.
With Kenjis ECU the motor revs up in 5th as it was nothing..smooth and easy.
I let drop the revs under 7800 and punched it again. Same result. Every topspeed run lasted 20minutes.
So I can definitly say there must be a huge gain above 8000rpm over stock. Better lap times will come naturally..
Kenji ECU: 8500 and still gaining

That's cool, I think we've seen some dynos of the ECU and it was a little stronger on some cars. But I wouldn't get ECU to try and get power gains by itself, really if I got the ECU it would be because it would be because it can be tuned/chipped/reprogrammed.

Sven,
I am glad to hear that you like the ECU and harness that I sent you. Must be nice to have the Autobahn in your backyard

Hehehe..
I had to get up very early to call me the king of the Autobahn this morning..
I saw some trucks and maybe two or three cars.
The topspeed test is a good instrument. Especially for software and exhaust systems and headers... The better the mixture and the airflow, the higher speed is possible in 5th. And 15kmh is a very huge gain.
I`m very satisfied with my whole setup now. Overall a good racecar. The safety package is still missing though.
Since my old motor is dead I had the idea of a strong stock motor with I/H/E, throttle body, light flywheel, softeware upgrade, light wheels and a superior suspension.
