Default Cam Gears

Can someone give me a walk thru on how to put Adjustible cam gears on my B18C1? My problem is my belt, how could i take the belt off the cams without taking the engine mount off? Thanks.

Well, you have to slip the belt around the engine mount to get it off... so you do have to unbolt it.

You don't have to undo the mount, but this is isn't a newb job.

Undo the timing belt tensioner, slip the belt off the top of the cam gears. You'll need an impact wrench to get them off. Install new gears. Slip timing belt back on, make sure it's in the exact place it was when you took it off. No skipping teeth = blown motor. Redo tensioner as read in helms manual.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'd get someone experienced to do/help you do it.

Oh so you cant get the cam gears off with out a impact wrench, cause i tried with a normal wrench but it just kept moving the cams. Thanks for the info, now im goin to just try to put my belt back on and get a impact to finish it off. Thanks.

*edit* What do i torque the Tensioner to?

watch trying to remove them with a wrench. if they walk too far and jump time it may be a little hairy to get them back if you havent done it before. a 3/8 impact usually does the job.
