I already tried this in the eg-ek section but got no help. Here goes, can I use a Sohc speed sensor on my b16a tranny? I have a 96 JDM b16a obd2 motor in my car and I also have a 96 sohc motor. I still have the VSS from the non-vtec sohc motor. Let me know if it will work on my b16 tranny. I think it will, but not quite sure. Thanks in advance guys, keep in mind, I may not be able to respond quickly to any posts because I'm limited to 5 posts per day still. Damn trial period

 

I believe all Honda speed sensor give 4 pluses per rev and if the sensor bolts up and turns freely it should work.

 

jsut swap the speedo gear out from any b-series ... the sensor itself will fit

The gear on the SOHC one is smaller and is plastic, it also looks a bit different. Different shaped gear that is.
