Dyno pulls?
What gear have most of you guys dynoe'd your cars in? I did mine in fourth everytime I have gone, but today my friend did it in third and fourth and third made 4-5 more WHP. It seems to me that you should dyno it in the gear it makes the most power in. This has probably been talked about a billion times, but so what we should do it again it's fun.
well it sure as **** shows it to me .as far as syno purposes in hondas, 4th is better, i have proved that over and over again .
but i dont know much , i have only dynoed on those hp calculators.

Sorry, I'm confused.
but in the other thread you say:
What did you get the trophy for? Calculating your hp on a program?
like i said before , i nver really dynoed, just play with the hp calc
always do it in 4th , i have proof that my car made more power in 4th, and actually got into an arguement with the guys at the Dyno contest at NOPI, and proved em wrong , they said 3rd is better. . ..i told em i was pretty sure i knew my car better then that . . . . that got me a trophy at the contest too .
On a boosted car you will make more power in 4th gear because in a higher gear you will boost slightly more. I have seen a 5-8whp gain when dynoing in 4th on my JRSC setup.
However you should be looking at the whp, trq, and AF curve rather then the peak numbers.
However running the car in 3rd is will give a cleaner reading because in higher gears the dyno will start to pick up interference and the curve will start to degrade and because choppy.
