Try Honda coolant.

Type 1 is regular and Type 2 is premixed.

Distilled water, 15% plain jain coolant and water wetter. The coolant is for additional water pump lube and to raise the boiling point, plus it does actually freeze around these parts.

well when I was shopping for coolant, I took this knowledge about possible damage to Honda radiators with me to AutoZone. I looked around and found several coolants that did in fact say it contains silicates and borates on the label, namely Xerex, and I think Peak (I think that's the name).

Well guess what, Prestone does NOT contain silicates OR borates. I'm currently running 50/50 mix of Prestone and water in my car.

Oh BTW I have over 133K miles on my original water pump, no leaks yet. I will probably change it this summer, however.

One more thing, Water Wetter used all the time is BAD. It is full of those same silicates and borates that makes certain coolants bad for Honda radiators. Read here:
