Is there anyone running the d16y8 intake with d16a1 pistons and a cam on a d16a6 (CRX Si) motor. I have read a little bit about this type of setup and wanted to hear some real world results.

Right now I'm running a pretty hot cam from Gude (can't remember specs) and I think that the stock intake isn't holding up to the cam's increased flow. Also, my rings are bad, so I thought that I could make the piston switch while I've got everything apart. I'm on a tight budget since I'm trying to buy a house at the moment, and I thought that this setup might be good.

I've been searching for about 1 hour with minimal results. I was wondering since I'm going junkyarding this weekend and may pick up the intake.

I think that there is a compression calculator @ cspeedracing.com for SOHC or the link is somewhere around here.

d series compression calculator. that is essentially the setup i am buying parts for now- i shoudl be able to give results in a month or so

12.3:1, time to go to the paint store for octane booster. Still wondering if anyone else is using this setup.
