Default How much can I spray?

Well my friend has a 98 gsr motor in his 92 integra and the motor has about 70k on it. It has I/H/E on it. He wants to spray a 75 shot on it. Is that to much for the fuel pump and injectors? I wouldnt think it would be since I see gsr's and ls's run 6-8psi with turbo setup's. But i might be wrong. If so what will he need to spray that much he will have one step colder spark plugs. And he was going to drop his timing alittle. ive heard 12 deg. is that about right? What else will he HAVE to have? He only going to have th kit for a few months and wont use it that much. It's also going to be a dry kit. thanks

you can do a 75 shot, back the timing off 2-3 deg., don't think I'd really worry about the colder plugs if he's not going to use it to much. I've never sprayed that large of a shot dry but I'm sure people do. NE1 else?

Get an NX wet kit. He won't outrun the fuel pump with just a 75 shot. Make sure that he does a compression test before spraying on the motor. He'll need colder plugs, a purge kit, and to drop his timing 1-2 degrees. A bottle heater willa lso keep his runs consistent.

Ok thanks guys. One last question this size of a shot would make me run to lean right? Im just saying that cuz The zex kit somes with a "smart" box and there the only place ive seen that has that. Or does it not matter cuz the ecu will beable to mantain this size of a shot? thanks

Ahh...

For a 75 shot you need at LEAST

Fuel pump (for a dry kit)
Colder Plugs
Retarded timing..

If not-- go boom.. Go safe or go home..

i have heard bad things about the zex kit. this kid at the track i go to had a 75 shot on his b16a and he dynoed it and it only made 36 hp more to the wheels. not really worth it for a 75 shot. i say go with the gsr plate kit by nos. or the venom kit if you have the money. i heard that it is the best

I would say go with a wet kit over the dry for that large of a shot, but that is just personal preference and safety of the motor talkin. NX makes a really nice wet kit from what I hear.

I dynod 36 more hp and 43 more ft lbs of torque... on a 55 shot jet and 700 psi of bottle pressure (cold) on a 4th gear run through a factory clutch. none the less I only have a catback on at that point.

Also on a side note I have another guy around here who took out #3 cyl with a wet nx 75.

**** happens no matter what... you got to pay to play.
