Geez.. Finally put everything on, and now its making this chattering sound. Ive installed clutches P Plates and flywheels before on other Honda products with no problems, and this one is baffling me.

Lets see, dropped the trans, remove p plate in a crisscross patern, same with flywheel. Installed SGT's flywheel, crisscross pattern again, clutch disk with alignment tool, then p plate, again crisscross, then removed alignment tool. Greased shaft, installed bearring. Installed trans, installed slave cilinder, bled cilinder. Test drove, Nasty chattering noise..

What could it be??? The pedal is really soft for a stage 2 clutch, and I could feel the chatter on the shifter and pedal. The slave and master are getting replaced with new ones...

Anyone had this problem???

 

What type of clutch is it again? Is it a puck style? When I had my ACT 4 puck clutch I know it would chatter on engagement. At least when I eased it out in normal street driving. Does yours chatter all of the time? Or just during engagement?

I have a Mugen 3 puck and it chatters in first. Just increase the revs and let it slip a bit.

 

It chatters all the time. Goes out for a bit, but when I get on it it comes back and stays.. WTF???

Stage 2 clutchnet.

The chattering is gone, I think its from the slave. I had to push it in a little bit to get it in, plus the pedal is very soft even after bleeding it. The clutch contact point at the pedal is almost at the very top.

SGT, did you decide about the injector plugs???

 

if the flywheel was not resurfaced, or resurfaced incorrectly, it could chatter. Also, grease or oil on the surface can cause this.

 

the clutchnet 6 puck chatters a bit.
