This damn hose that connects from my boost controller to wastegate pops off when I boost!


I had a zip tie on it first, that didnt work. Now I have a small metal clamp, and that works better, but it still comes off. What do you guys do to keep yours on??

 

Use a tiny hose clamp that screws closed.. should work fine.. if that doesnt work, sell yer Deltagate

 

you could also use a TINY diameter hose that will take alot of elbow grease to put on, but won't blow off on its own...

 

are you talking about the small screw clamps that usually come with air intakes??

 

zip ties are your friend.

 

zip ties rock...but yes, the hose clamps he is refering to are like the ones for an aftermarket intake. Just go to your local hardware store and get a few. Thaet are like 94 cents. They are about 1/4" wide and about 1" in diameter for the size you want and have a 5/16"/flat head screw head on them. they will work great. I use them on most my vacumm connections.

Use a screw down hose clamp or just get a TiAL.

 

i use zip ties and never had a problem maybe it keep coming off becouse there is no barb at the end of the fitting for it to lock on there with thats why it might be slipping off

 

whoa a delta gate i can feel the boost spike, and hear the pistons frying as i type this!!! no im just kidding, the hose clamps are excellent, but sace 200 bucks and get a Tial

 

I have a friend who boosts his 944 up to 28psi and he has no problems using zip ties

 

I guess, i will just use those fittings for now until I save up for a tial. Thanks guys
