Default 3" Silicone pipe coupling - DIY CAI

Anyone know where I can fine inexpensive silicone couplings for a DIY CAI?

I found the turbo stuff but that's a little overkill for an intake. I also found the AEM couplings for $17 each, but I was hoping to find them for less.

Has anyone found 3" for a good price, or do I have to give in and pay up?

Thanks.

Try plumbing supplies at home depot or lowes. Thats what i used for mine but mine is 2.5 inch. I used the rubber couplings made for 2inch pipe it stretches for 2.5 fine, so if u can find 2.5 it will work for 3 inch. They run about 4 bucks each. Other wise price some radiator hose from your local auto store. Not sure if they have 3 inch though.

[edit] my bad, you were only looking for silicone? home depot wont have that. There is no need for silicone for an intake the rubber is fine its not like there under the pressure and heat of a turbo system. Save urself some money. [/edit]

i am pretty sure the stuff from menards is silicon, just black.

The reason you have to buy smaller is that it is labeled to fit outside a pipe that is measured by inside diameter.

NAPA has flex-hose ... just get them to cut it to what ever measure you want ... that's what I'm using for couplings right now... it holding just fine...
