Default New clutch feels worse than old one...Why?

Okay, I had my stock replacement put in a year ago. This spring I needed a new one again as it was slipping like crazy. I found out that it wasnt my agressive driving that did the job but that my Master and Slave Cylinders for the clutch were leaky and not staying pressureized. I had them both replaced as well as got a new stock replacement clutch. My first clutch with the old cylinders used to "chirp" second easily, now with the new parts I have to revv really high and shift really quick to hear from my tires.

My Question is why could the new stuff be grabbing less hard than the old?
(note: that there is no slipping at all, grabs hard just not chirping?)

Could it be that there is a different, power robbing problem that is causing this?

Any help would be appeciated

how long have you been driving on the new clutch?? I believe you have to break it in for a period of time..

It similar to brakes..They don't work great initally they have to seat first.

anyone else back me up/correct this?

I can back you up somewhat. Almost all clutches have a break in period of 500 miles, hopefully you took it easy on it if not you might need a new clutch sooner than expected.

I had a friend help me install my clutch/fly.."no hard shifting/launching for at leat 500miles" those were his words of advice.

Good thing I listened.

You guy are going alittle overboard about breaking your clutch in, dont you think? 500 miles, not going into Vtec, ect, ect.

going into vtec is fine...its shifting and launching that should be avoided.

and don't go above 4000 rpm. i don't know if that was for new clutch or new car(engine) breakin.

i agree, i totally think you guys are overkilling.... i can understand brakes being 500 miles (no 'hard' braking), but a clutch... no vtec??? not over 4000 rpm??? what are you guys talking about.
yeah, let any new part brake in before you start stomping on it.... but, you still can race with a new clutch. just shift slower... dont ride the clutch, dont double clutch, etc.
about the clutch not grabbing.... sorry, thats how it goes. yeah, chirting your tires is fun... but who does it impress??? i can tell you that it certainly gets the cops attention.
