CALIFORNIA IS ON FIRE!
I have a 91 Civic DX, it sports many upgrades like intake, exhaust, and headers. My power plant is a H22(2.2 DOHC Vtec) from a 1999 Prelude. I raced at the L.A. speedway and got a 11.3sec. time-slip at the 1/4mi. The engine was modified by JG Engine Dynamics and they did an awesome job. The engine stock powered 195hp, and after JG's mods it powers 250hp. I paln to trow a turbo to move my times into the 10's. Remenber its a daily driver, ok.(Go to the prelude section and help me with a clacking in my car.)
As I read your post I just think to myself "Why would someone want to build such a machine?" Dude sounds like you have the ultimate hook up on the engine. I didnt think they would fit in the engine bay but I guess they do. Did you have any trouble with the swap? When you say the engine was modified by JG what did they do?
Is this guy for real??
This didn't put a flag up for anybody?
He plans on going turbo, so he does an NA build up and runs an 11.3 .... yet we've never heard or seen an all motor EF in the racing news that runs with the pro guys times ...... and 250 crank is about 215 wheel hp, yet he's running 11.3 .....
I'll be the first to call it ......... BS!!!

so having the H22 motor in, you have to put the right set of axles right? So do you know how many lugs you have? if not, then this is BS.
11.3 with 250hp? hmmmmm L;natural makes about the same hp and he runs 10.73's or something in the mid 10's. so your saying your lude powered civic is as fast as Bizi's crx which is powered by a 1.5 liter carburated motor? hmmmm......something fishy about this..... i say "California is really on fire"

well, i once ran a 4.3 second quarter mile in a 79 honda civic hatch back with a stealth bomber engine in it. It was making 4000hp at the wheels, but traction problems kept me out of the 3s.

yeah and i think i will second that BS notion!
the guy is full of bullshit .or daddy paid for it an he talking ****,dam you have a built H22 high compresion engine, an he wants to put a turbo on it next........HELLO ,WAKE UP AN SMELL THE COFFEE hes sugar coating you all. :
this is from the hybrid page (which like me I am sure you have all read 5000 times at one point or the other..)
"The 2.2L and 2.3L Prelude motors can be stuffed in the 4G engine bay with cutting, pounding, welding, and basic indifference to structural safety. We highly advice against it.
A normally aspirated fully built H22A VTEC motor would be very strong, and should be capable of low 12sec slips. However, very few H22As are actually faster than built B18Cs.
The prelude motor is significantly heavier than the stock 4G motors, and the additional front weight bias will spell u-n-d-e-r-s-t-e-e-r. If you love the way your car handles now, think twice about the big 'lude swap. If you do, you must get bigger front brakes, or at least aggressive pads, to haul you down without drama."
And this is his "daily driver" - I doubt it. Why would a shop be willing to do this type of work? If it was a track car only, maybe..

I was reading everyone's positive response to this and I was thinking "wtf?". It doesn't sound right.
If he had an H22in a civic, why would you need to turbo it?

Who drives an H22 powered civic everyday as a daily driver?
I have no doubt in saying "BS".
EDIT: I thought you sold that car? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=46206

i would say show me a time slip... and pics to prove it... but with a lil time any one can make one...the h22 has a lil more heft to it but as 2point2 pointed out in his thread... move it as far back as you can get it and it aint too bad...upgrade the front suspention and you can accomidate the extra weight...
i still think this kid id full of tihs tho...any way i need to put my boots on cus im foulin up my sox on this thread...

even with a slip
wont justify the fact he has a H22 in there
i say take pics and a video
then we takew the BS flag off
