HELP my h22a is broke
hi i havent been here for a while but here's my problem. i have a 90 accord with a 92 jdm h22a engine, tranny and ecu. i was driving last week and i noticed my door was not shut all the way so i opened it and then shut it firmly then my car shut off. thats just how it happened like i turned it off. i went ahead and replaced the distributor, cap, rotor, plugs, and put on a external coil. still wont start. found out the ingnition swich was bad so i replaced that 2. now the car turns over and putts like it wants 2 start but just wont like its out of gas. i can smell gas and i unhooked the fuel pump and it stoped putting. i tried to pull a code but it wont come up. 1 more thing my c.e light was on and i was tripping a code 36? honda says that there is no such code and even they saw the 3 long lights and 6 short ones? HELP PLEASE i cant think of much more that could be wrong.
that's some weird ****. but not something you can really diagnose over the web. what ECU do you have? JDM ecu's don't have different codes do they?
Check to see if your distributor is put on correctly...I had a problem where it wouldn't start either...i found it was a bad coil, replaced that and she still wouldn't start...found out that the distributor was not on properly...I was told it can't go on upside down but apparently it could....turn the forked rotor on the back of the distributor 180 degrees and try again...thats just my experience though... As far as the code 36?? I got no clue man.

i would check your main relay too. Sometimes when I get in my car to start it, it will crank and run for a sec, and shut off. An immediate attempt to restart it and my h22 putts like you were saying.

hey thanks guys, it turns out the distrubitor was in 180 out but i just fixed it and no change. i think that i will check out the main relay and go from there. if u guys can think of any thing else post and i will check it daily.thanks. btw i have a p13 jdm ecu.
code 36 appears as a soft code on JDM ecu's with the four plug type
code 36 is for the TCS on some of the JDM preludes and will not cause a driveability problem I've got the same ecu on my rex. check the BLK/YEL wire and see if you have 12v with the ignition on.
