Are my cam gears off centered? 2 pics inside! I hope not!

Someone in another thread said it looked as if the cam gears were off a little....
Here is a pic after I popped the valve cover off for the first time (NEVER touched):

Does it take a good bit of force to move the cam gears? We slipped the timing belt over the cam gears, which would be the only way they moved.
Thanks for any info!
After looking at the pics and others I have on my hard drive, BOTH pics were taking BEFORE I changed the tming belt. If you look at the water pump, it's the OLD one installed. That means the OLD timing belt is what you see in the picture. Maybe it's just the angle the motor is sitting on the pallet.

what you could do is this
on the oil rails their are two holes in them intakd and exhaust (total of 4) when the motor is TDC these holes line up with the holes in the cams take a screw driver and adn lock the cams with the oil rails so that they don't move that way you will be at TDC when you put the belt on
hope this helps

Does the timing belt drive gear TDC mark line up with the mark on the oil pump?
If it's lined up, then your cams are slightly retarded.

It looks like the key way for the crank pulley is almost in line with the cams. Do the check with the pin holes and see how close they are.
