Cam gear installation problem
Just installed a set of BDL cam gears and ran into something weird. Just to cover the basics... the top lines are facing up, the horizontal lines are in a perfectly straight line with one another and the gears are set at zero.
When I put the timing belt on, there's a decent amount of loose belt between the gears. Not enough to get over another tooth, but enough so that when you tension the belt and spin the motor counter clockwise, the exhaust cam turns about half a degree as it takes up that slack between the gears. Anyone ever ran into this? Maybe it's normal.. never done a set of cam gears on a Honda before. It seems to me that my exhaust cam is now not where it should be.
This is a b20 if it makes any difference.

Re: Cam gear installation problem (sph33r)
well usually u can adjust the tension between the cam gears, first wat u do is put the crank pully on the timing mark and put the belt on the first cam, and then turn the first cam til that is tight, then after that, u put it on the second cam, u keep the first cam still and turn the second cam until it is tight between the two cams. it takes awhile to getting use to. but after a few tries, ull set the timing correctly. but if u still have a problem, maybe its just the adjustment on the camgears itself.
