What's the biggest i can bore out a stock b16 block without sleeving it? Can i fit 84.5mm pistons in there... i read somwhere that if i don't want to or don't have the money to i can put in a block saver... Is that true? TIA....
87mm, asumming all b series are the same with their sleeve make up (like the d16). Golden Eagle told me 87mm but i should ue that for race only applications. but 86 or less is good for street also

with stock sleeves and on a NA street motor i would do 81.5mm but with sleeves you can go out to 87mm i belive.
sleeving will run you about 670-750
check out RSmachines and Importbuilders(they offer the lowest price and top noch work!)

I would just buy a GSR or Type R block. It would be cheaper and then if you decide you want to sleeve it you can still go bigger. You can get a GSR block for as little as $300 and just the oversized pistons will cost you almost that much.
Dude if you find me a gsr block for $300 I would.............., sike nah. But really I do need a gsr block and I can't find one anywhere near that price. $300 block sounds like its stolen or something and I don't want to mess with that.

isnt there a point of diminishing returns with going bigger on pistons?
I mean 85 is big... and still can get a decent weight stock like forged peice...
I wish I had some funds to build a 2-2.4 Liter B series engine so I could
really learn this stuff
