I have one broken cap top on the dsm 450s. Could I take them all off? Do they affect performance in any way?

 

they protect the pintle, do not drive w/out it.

send them out to get cleaned, they replace the caps then.

So the little protective tips on the bottom then.. I have used lots of sets with missing caps, I just took them all off.... IN FACT! my very close friends racecar 700+ hp integra ended up sucking down one of this little caps down his intake last week on the dyno! heh, kinda sucked.

They just protect the tip from carbon and what not, if you are talking about the inline plastic tips before the fuel enters the injector, (little screen) always use those.

Where can you get new tips? probably RC engineering, or any other injector shop.

DOnt givbe hm shitty advice liek that abaz. If some of that carbon gets on the pintle. It will score the pintle and the wall, eventually probably causing leaky injectors.

 

I think I am just going to buy new injectors, since I can't find the caps
