i just need some help from people that allready have street/strip motors

ok, to start out i have a 93 dx hatch and a b18c1 swap

the civic is totaly stripped, right down to the heater core....(gonan put in a teg dash and core from the car my motor came out of)

i know i'm going turbo, but that's about it. I want a considerably fast car. Meaning low 11's high 10's. I know this is gonna cost too, and i know its gonna suck as a street car, but that's not my concern. It just has to be able to come out on weekends and blow some peeps away.

here's what i'm thinking:
golden eagle block
micropolished stock crank
9.0:1 je's on eagle rods and as big of bore as i can safely go
studed on mains and head
t3/60-1 kit from max rev with 3" dp and divorced wasgate dump
clutchmasters stage 4 and flywheel
jg mani w/prelude tb
720cc injectors (just a guess of size)
some fuel rail
eriks racing frp or aem or paxton or b&m....whatever you people think works the best
not sure on fuel pump, would intank 255lph be adequate?
i've heard you have to do the fuel lines as well, not sure

i'm sure i've left some stuff out...liek car setup, but that's a different thread alltogether

i just need to get the engine started soon

start off by ditching the eagle rods. if you want it to go 10's reliably use pauter or atleast crower. the rest is a good start but is just the tip of the iceberg for reliable 10's. oh and dont forget the head. you didnt mention any valvetrain. we use ferrea in most of our cars.

what about oliver or manly or cunningham rods?? or stick with the pauters?

the head will be sent to rlzengineering....in concord, nc..
brad that works there does awesome work, just got a friend of mine's (BabyDaddy) head done and it's great.

for the head i was thinking skunk2 turbo grinds and skunk 2 valve train

still, what about the fpr, pump, and lines???

talk to MotorMatrix he can point you in the right direction.

 

stick to pauters or crowers. I like pauters the best personally. As far as cams go honda cams are best in my opinion. dont spend money where it doesnt need to be spent. jotech is making 800+whp on gsr cams, I made 565 on stock type r cams. that should tell you that you dont need custom cams. th eonyl reason for custom cams that i can see is to make power at 10k+rpm on a b16 or small displacement motor.

 

manly are a good rod

I would have GEM line bore the block to 84mm why it's out there. I had them line bore my block to 84mm but I am not shooting for high 10's

Who has the best price on pauter, crower, cunningham rods? You are going to 860cc or larger injectors. I'm thinking about headwork right now. My shortblock is about the same as yours. I'm at least going to go with a 3 angle valve job, ss valves, springs and retainers. I'm trying to decide if its worth while for P&P of not. What do you guys think?

Mike you should also consider the manley rods they are very stout... even the carillo are option compared to pauter


Pauter is just so backordered now its not even funny...

 

manley are definitely and an option. we were going to use those in our h22 but went pauter instead. Carillo's we used use in bikes and they worked well revving 14k too.

funny when Pauter were backordered for me you had 3 sets come in and I got 1 from you. now they are back ordered for you and I got some coming next week. Let me know if you need any.

whats wrong with eagle rods.

 

eagle rods are just weak, you would probabally snap an eagle rod well before your fracture a manly, crower, etc..
