steering wheel tilted question. . post *curb*
basically i hit a curb doing like 40-45 fucked my rim up and took it to a shop that told me that i
*bent my lower control arm
* bent my axle. .
* need a new front and center cross member.. ( i dont think so i checked it out )
bascally the only thing i needed was the lower control arm that was very very bent.. anyways i put my new one on there.. and fixed it up .. check the axles out imma need new ones they are NOT bent but the rubber is broke..
so my question is.. my streeting wheel was tilted to my LEft< side. . and after puttin the new Lower Control arm on the there . . it's alil bent still . . will an alignment fix this? thanx in advance

Well several members on this board have done exactly the same thing. I dont know about in the states, but if your suspension is bent, then it is illegal for an alignment shop to do one on your car. By the sounds of it you fukced something up bad, I'm guessing ur crossmembers are most likely gone, if you managed to damage the control arms to a point where you could see they were bent then I'm pretty sure your crossmembers are a gonner. When I hit the curb nothing looked bent, but an alignment proved me wrong. Get several opinions from professionals on what needs to be done, but let me tell ya its not cheap.

I did the exact same thing. Bent my subframe and lower tierod. Alignment still is perfect, its just my steering wheel tilts about 3 inches to the left.
yup that's what i got .. my steering wheel is 3 inches to the left.. what is the subframe and where is it??

front cross member.. center crossmember. and lower control arm.. basically the front crossmember.. dont look bent .. even the radius rods loko good. just that the steering wheel is like 3 inches the left.. wonder if alignment will fix that?? that's my question cuz i put a new lower control arm on there

when i curbed my car the wheel was a half turn to the right.
nothing lokoed bent but u could look at the wheel and see it had like 3 degrees positive camber on front AND rear wheels.
wheels is still tilter, and the car pulls a little to one side. havent had an alignment sicne i replaced knuckles/ x-arms front and rear, and rear xmember. odds are my front member is wasted as well.... the one the lower control arm connects into.

hate ta tell ya but when my bro in a 91 integra hit a curb (actually a huge speed bump meant for buses) at about the same speed, he did over $6k in suspension damage according to his repair bills. Everything was jacked up...
okay thank you all for the replys.. i am gonna get me the front crossmember put that one and leave it at that because i replaced everything the shop told me too.. ill bring it back and get an alignment
